Figured it was about time for you all to get to know The Reviewers!
What happens when you take a Navy brat (that’s me), and give her a mom who use to punish her by making her read? Oh that’s right, you end up with an adult who reads too much and blogs a lot! My love for reading comes from the punishments that my mom used to enforce on me, as well as having parents who encouraged me to expand my horizons and read as much as possible.
I love reading because it gives me that escape from the real world. When you open that book, you start getting lost in the world that the author has created. You can get so wrapped up in what is happening in the book that you forget all your troubles, at least for a little while.
I’m an equal opportunity reader who is always willing to try a new genre or sub-genre. I learned while reviewing that you never know what types of books you will enjoy unless you are willing to try something new.
I’m an old woman who never lived in a shoe……….. yet!
Joy’s Inner Dialogue
A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away….
I don’t live in the real world. I’m completely absorbed in fantasyland. I even convinced my husband to take a job that moved us from the USA to the UK so I could live in the land of Doctor Who, Game of Thrones and Sherlock. Unfortunately, I have yet to run into Tom Hiddleston, Matt Smith or Benedict Cumberbatch so I can profess my love to them. I’m convinced they are purposely hiding from me.
I tend to read mostly sci-fi, paranormal, thriller, fantasy and horror. I occasionally delve into the realm of pure romance because sometimes the absence of sword fights, be-headings, space travel, magic and apocalyptic fallouts can be entertaining to read. In my spare time when I am not reading, watching and talking about my favorite TV shows, hanging out with my two dogs, traveling and sight seeing with my husband and two kids, I’m battling with lighsabers (Sith Lord training commence), attending comic cons, dressing up as a superhero and being a fangirl.
Also, I love chocolate and coffee. Ok, I’m addicted to chocolate and coffee. Just don’t take it away from me and don’t blink, don’t ever blink.
My Bio….. See I don’t talk about myself, not much to say. No kids so any cute throw up stories; I’ll have to leave for my fellow reviews.
Military BRAT grew up mainly England, but now living in FL. Just my amazing dog Sebastian, and my hubs, honeybear (he hates when I do that). We travel A LOT. All over the world, and America YAY me! I’m a huge fan of NASCAR, # 41 and # 43 are my drivers, SCUBA dive, also all over the world, why not dive where we visit, right? And I read…. A.LOT. I don’t watch TV, just read. Except Alaska State Troopers, love to that show J for the last few yrs I’ve just read M/M. I’ve given up women in books altogether. And that’s about it. See, boring…… Oh, and I agonize over my reviews I take each one personally, Boss lady says they get easier but I always take everything to heart not wanting to hurt anyone or anything so if I have the pleasure of reviewing one of your books, know that it has taken me a long time and many re-types before I press send.
I’m just your average, every day, boring, book whore who loves to read. My favorite past time is escaping into the world created by the author and forgetting about the everyday, mundane, things that life brings. My favorite genre is Paranormal Romance, but I will read just about anything.
I drink a LOT of coffee. (Don’t books and coffee go together?). I buy purses based on the ability of my Kindle fitting in it (I really like purses). I love hanging out with my favorite Chicks and discussing hotties, life, and the latest amazing book that we all read. Other than that, I read.
My name is April Watts. I’m 46 years old, widowed, and I have two wonderful children. They are my world! I also have a beautiful grandson that is almost 2 months old. So this is to tell everyone a little about me. My favorite thing to do with my spare time is read. I also love to spend time with my family. Family is the key to everything, without family, it leave a person feeling miserable. I know that a lot of people think that money is the key to happiness, but the truth would be that family is that key.
Onto to something else, I have 4 minature dachshunds and well they’ve each got such a unique personality. I’m caring, loving, and very unique. I’m never afraid to speak my mind and be blunt, and if people have a problem with that then I think it’s best we not speak. But this is me in a nutshell. I hope everyone has a wonderful day and god bless you all. 🙂
Lizcat spends her days battling her black kitten for access to the computer keyboard, so she may write the next Great American Novel – if that translates to gay romance. When the kitten wins the battle Lizcat loses herself in other writers in the genre.
