A trust destroyed is a trust that is hard to recover…

Brendan Matthews is happy training racehorses for a living. He thinks he’s hit the jackpot when a wealthy orthopedic surgeon, Adam Ahmadi, sends six yearlings his way. Not only are the horses a cut above the rest, their owner isn’t too shabby either.

But not everything is as it seems. Adam has many secrets, most of them dark and deadly. When Adam’s past returns with a vengeance, he disappears, leaving Brendan confused and hurt.

If Adam survives, will his past destroy their future?

An Unexpected Truth is a contemporary romantic suspense by S.A. Meade. Brendan Matthews loves training racehorses. So, he couldn’t be happier than when the handsome Adam Ahmadi sends him six yearlings. Their mutual attraction burns hot, but their relationship builds slow as Adam’s secrets get in the way.
An Unexpected Truth is a solid book I adored Brendan. He was so patient and committed almost from the get go. Because of that, it made it a little more difficult for me to like Adam at first. His reasons for living his double life didn’t make a whole lot of sense to me. And the danger he was in, and subsequently put Brendan in, seemed to be mostly of his own making. I also found more than a few potholes. All that being said, Meade wrote a great book with sweet characters, who had me rooting for rooting for their happy ending. I would recommend this book to most fans of the genre.
