A missing brother, mercenary demigoddesses and an unknown force pulling fate’s strings are just a few of the hurdles facing Verrin when he wakes up in a dungeon one morning. As the son of a renegade Angelic Watcher, he was born ill fated. Being summoned by a plump little sex kitten who was everything he liked in a woman should have been a stroke of luck…
As a librarian, the most exciting choice Cassidy O’Neill usually has to make is what book to read next. She never expected an antique book to drop a dirty minded sex demon into her bed. Bound to his side until the summoning is fulfilled, Cass is determined not to lose her heart to Verrin – even if he is the sexiest man she’s ever met.
Cassidy is a curvy librarian who thinks she’s nothing special. She loves books and can’t resist an antique crypt looking one at the local bookstore while perusing the aisles. Once she gets it home, she tries to read the foreign language and ends up with a sexy Incubus in her bedroom! Verrin, the Incubus, has never been turned down by any woman. When Cassidy resists his urges, he begins to realize he feels more for her than a sexual attraction. But, the problems is that his brother is being held prisoner by a revengeful witch who wants an Incubus’ blood freely given.
I found this to be an amazing story with well-developed characters, suspense, romance, and a wonderful variety of characters….some likable and others not. The chemistry and feelings Verrin had for Cassidy made me swoon and want my own sexy Incubus with feelings!!! My only pet peeve about the story was how down on herself Cassidy was about being curvy. Verrin found her sexy and attractive, but her curves were pointed out so much that it felt like that was a bad thing. It’s just a pet peeve of mine, so it didn’t fully ruin the story for me.
I can’t wait to read more about the brothers, their adventures, and the trouble they get into! What a great book to start off this series!
