Koko is a Lolita J-Pop mega star, facing a Eurasian Tour after the death of her guardian. Mentally, physically, and emotionally not ready to face a grueling road trip, her doctors insist she renege on her professional obligations, but an attempt to delay the tour results in threats from her record label’s owner.
Julian Van Zant is an aging rock star, who had one great experience in his life that outshone all others: an age-play relationship with a woman named Angélique. However, she fled for a normal vanilla life.
A chance encounter with a woman he knows only by reputation leaves him worried about her safety. When she offers him the chance of a lifetime to be both her travel companion and Daddy, it seems like he’s finally been given a second chance.
Will Koko’s learning that Julian and his brother Liam are a package deal ruin everything? And will once burnt and far less-forgiving Liam be willing to risk his heart to the little who has the power to rip him to shreds?
Note:Although the protagonist, Koko, is well beyond the age of consent, she presents part time as a “little”; that is, she acts like a young girl. The sex in this series takes place between consenting adults, but those with a history of childhood sexual abuse or incest may find this triggering.
Okay this story was a pleasant surprise. When I picked this up, I wasn’t sure if I would enjoy Daddy/little kink. I’d heard of it before but hadn’t had to chance to read one before. This type role playing is a part of the BDSM culture and follows some of the same guidelines for safe and consensual play. Playing doesn’t always end in sex, which many who don’t participate in the culture forget.
This is told from three POVs that has a distinct break between POVs (Thank you!!) Once I picked up, it was so hard to put down. The romance is messy—both emotionally and psychologically. The ‘I love yous’ came too quickly, but at the same time, I could understand how Julian and Koko could make that leap. Koko desperately wanted someone to love and care for her. Julian just as desperately wanted a little in his life again. Liam’s reluctance tempered the other two, slowing down the romance because they were both waiting for him. I actually shuddered to think about what would’ve happened to Koko if Julian had gone to say hello. Even though she was twenty-two, Papa Ollie did everything in his power to keep her innocent and naive. She was ripe for a predator picking her up.
I do wish I got to see the three of them outside their sexual exploration, especially with her tour coming up, but since this is a series, I hope that is something to come. There were a couple of times that I wanted to resurrect Papa Ollie and thump him a time or. In many ways, Liam and Julian were perfect for Koko but all three bear scars that will cause bumps in the road for them.
All in all, this is a really good story that I would encourage others to give a try. The author did a great job leading me through what it means to have a Daddy/little relationship. For me it was a pleasant surprised and I wished I’d picked it up sooner.
