Don’t judge a book by its cover….

At over six feet, with a body honed in the gym, auto worker Donavan Gregory is used to people assuming he’s a dominant top. Unfortunately, they’re wrong, and Donavan’s desire to explore his submissive side goes unfulfilled.

Smaller and older than Donavan, Doctor Seth Manning might not look like a typical dominant, but when the two men meet at Pride, Donavan realized Seth might be his perfect counterpart. The trouble is, Donavan doesn’t have as much experience with the BDSM world as he’d like. What could an educated, handsome, and confident man like Seth possibly see in someone like him? Seth must convince him that despite the differences on the surface, when it comes to kinky fun and discovery, they’ll fit together just fine.addtogoodreads_zps55cd15da14Double TimeTAGListening to Andrea LeeTAG

I have a love/like with this author and the series she offers, and or stand alone books I’ve read. So I was nervous about grabbing another one. Over all I enjoyed this one, it was more adult, less drama which to me are huge wins. The down side, because most if not all of these books have a BDSM theme I found with this one, this part time Dom bent if not broke several of the hard and fast rules, that this author was one of the ones that showed me those rules, and made me believe they should never be broken. I had a hard time overall enjoying this story.

What I did enjoy was the dynamic of these two. Not once did I feel like Seth was slumming it as it were by being with Donavan. And even though, he had those insecurities, Seth made sure to reassure him. And in turn then they both ha a mutual sexual experience that they both enjoyed. Through out the book that experience turned into dates, fun and caring and love. Overall a very sweet book. In fact the only real drama was the best friend and his turmoil with his own issues. Which I’m sure will come out in the next book.

April's Showering Words

This book kind of strays from the norm when it comes to BDSM.

This book is a good lead into the BDSM life in that it points to the Dom sets all the rules, the only thing that could be misleading is that some of the hard fast rules are not followed.  It is explained in a completely believable way.  The sexual energy is strong and extremely hot between these two.  It just seems to build throughout the story.

This story was realistic in the way the relationship evolves from just a quick meeting, to dating and then to a loving relationship.  The way the doubts and insecurities were dealt with was honest and almost second nature. When I was reading I really enjoyed how the relationship grew one step at a time. The evolution was realistic and moving if a little to smooth for my taste.
