Welcome to The Club—leave your inhibitions and your everyday cares at the door and indulge yourself in an evening of anonymous, no-strings, woman-on-woman action.
For many of the women who visit The Club this is exactly what they are looking for and what they get. For others the emotions run high, and one night of sex can change their lives in ways they couldn’t have imagined. For Lou, her weekly visits to The Club enable her to set aside her shyness and loneliness and feel intimacy, however briefly. For Kath, caring for her mother at home, The Club is a welcome relief from her everyday toil; while Max needs distraction from her troubled relationship, even as she tries to tell herself she isn’t really cheating. Tania and Jacky find an outlet for a tricky block in their sex life. Cassie and Nina, bar staff at The Club, find themselves staying on after hours. And finally, Stephanie, struggling with her sexuality, finds her life changing in so many ways once she plucks up courage to enter.
The lives of these women intersect in ways they don’t realize, and watching over them all is Mandy— the owner, whose own ghosts play a pivotal role in the existence of The Club.
Have you ever dreamed of having a place to go, where you can be yourself, explore your passionate desires, and play in the erotic fantasies that you hold deep inside? Where women can find other women to share a hot passionate scene with and then leave, knowing beyond those doors you are back in your reality and real world, while your secrets are safe at the club?
That is what you are about to jump into with this book. You will meet a group of women, one being the owner of the club and learn about their past and present and what they are hoping to find in the club. Each story has a powerful element to it that will make you instantly care about them and I found I could connect with them even though our lives are different, the emotions are universal. Warning, this isn’t a book you just read to enjoy and escape in. It takes some energy to keep them all straight and relate the stories to the right characters. It can be confusing at times but it is worth the effort.
The club gives you a wide range of kink so be prepared if you are bashful and not comfortable with what goes on in an f/f relationship. The writing style was smooth and easy to read, but I wasn’t a huge fan of the way the time frame was laid out. With so many females to be introduced to, it was a bit annoying for me to jump from past to present, then back to past again. As I say this, I also must add, I am not sure I would have gotten the full impact of the story and the connection these women had, if we had been presented their stories in a time consistent pattern either. The confusion was worth it to meet the characters in this book. Don’t worry, midway through the book, once you have figured out the pattern, it all flows perfectly.
I really can’t go into many details about the book because you will need to meet the women and learn about their lives yourself, but Kath is the one I related to the most as she is looking for an escape from caring for her mother while trying to find someone who could be her release from the feelings of being alone. As you learn about each woman, the web that weaves them together is amazing and will leave you wanting more. I would recommend this to any reader who enjoys emotionally charged stories where they all make up one plot involving f/f action.
