The attack on their downtime base, Camp Smokey has caused the Mad Dogs to scatter. Aside from the core pack and the former Watcher Duke, the status of their CO, McCormick, and Councilman Representative, Rolex, is unknown.

Either their own Order or the Organization is trying to take them out. Going AWOL is their only option until they can figure out which faction is hunting them… and who they can trust.

This book is part of a series and should not be read as a stand alone novel.

This book also does start right after book 5 ends so we aren’t left wondering what happens.

I did enjoy how Cothern took the time to explain the different ways that everyone was traveling to their safe haven, it was done with great precision and so it was very believable that that is how it would be done in real life.

We are also introduced to characters from one of Cothern’s other series, Shadows, which did peak my interest into wanting to read that series next.

There are plenty of twists and turns that are happening in this book that left me wanting for more.  Brian was able to worm his way into my heart and left me feeling so much hurt for him because of his fighting his desires because he doesn’t want to hurt anyone.

Overall, I’m once again loving this series and I can’t wait for the next book in the series!
