Sinfully sexy Travis De Luca came into Remi’s life when she was young, inexperienced, and easily dazzled. With his
scandalous words and wickedly sexy grins, he possessed a power no one should have over another. He was a foul
mouthed, trouble-making thug to everyone else, but she’d witnessed the vulnerable side he hid so well. After one earth- shattering experience and his declaration of love, her body and soul were hooked.
When Travis is sent away without warning, Kristiano De Luca —his equally sexy cousin—comes into Remi’s life as a friend when she needs one most. After years with no word and waiting for Travis to come back, she loses hope, and the friendship she’s built with Kris grows into something beautiful that fills the void Travis left behind.
But a surprise return from Travis and one passionate night with him throw all their lives into chaos, and nothing will
ever be the same again.
Author’s note to reader: Imagine two heroes with your all time favorite qualities. Hot, bad boy, tattoos, dirty mouths, hot head alpha to a fault and possessive as ALL hell. Both going for the same girl!
Remi is older than Travis yet the chemistry between them was very interesting to say the lest, yet had to remain silenced. This was very difficult at times as she would go babysit his two younger brothers. His mother would go out and party so there were many nights she would just stay over. Her crush on him had driven her crazy but he was never going to be the kind of man she could bring home to her dad. Travis was angry at the idea sweet little good girl Remi would tell people she was babysitting the DeLuca boys and possibly not explain Travis would leave the house all night to do his thing. He wanted her more than any other woman he had taken before but he knew she was innocent and frightened of his kind. His nickname for her was meant to bring the blush upon her face that he had become addicted to.
One night after inviting Chaz over to drop something off while she was babysitting, Travis walked in on a situation that drove him into a rage that could have costs him everything. It was at that point Remi aka Cherry, knew she had been right about him all along. There was a protector and good man in that teenage body. Despite that the public saw him as a one night stand, bad boy who had no future, he knew he wanted Remi but she deserved more than he could offer.
As the story goes on, Travis is forced to leave and go get himself together, while his cousin Kris enters the picture and tries to sweep Remi off her feet. He is a man that comes with honor, dignity and wants to give Remi everything she dreamed of, but Travis still owns her heart no matter how much she tried to move on. Once Travis returns with his secrets and success, choices need to be made by Remi and Kris is going to have to decide if the fight is worth it.
This is where I do that dreaded…….can’t go on because you just have to experience the story for yourself.
Was I interested in the story, yes but it didn’t leave me with a lingering have to have more feeling. I my one wish was that some of the excess drama had been shaved down and replaced with more expansion on the scenes where Remi and Travis were making some stupid choices. I would have liked to have been invited into their view points more so I wouldn’t have felt as frustrated with them. For a book about a three way love, I think the author did a fantastic job at keeping all of the characters above board and conscious of what they were doing to each other. It was clear no one in the triangle wanted to hurt anyone else, they just wanted their happy ever after.
