Three’s a disaster when things come unraveled.
Rock star Nate Keller is on top of the world, but his headlining tour has one drawback. It keeps him away from his boyfriends, Theo and Cameron, for weeks at a time. Yet after four-and-a-half years—and a lot of hard work—the trio is still going strong.
But then Cam comes to visit with devastating news. After seventeen years together, he and Theo have agreed to a trial separation. Nate tries desperately to fix his lovers’ broken relationship, but there’s only so much he can do from the road.
At home, Cam tries to carry on, but feels like his whole life is spiraling out of control. Theo struggles to cope with the split as his depression worsens. They’re both spinning their wheels, quickly losing hope they can keep it together—and keep the man they both still love.
Desperate, Nate drops everything in a last-ditch attempt to pull their trio back together before they hit rock bottom. Except their love could already be shattered beyond repair.
Cam life is spinning out of control, and control is so very important to him. His husband has moved out, he has not lived alone since he was a freshman in college. Seems a lifetime ago, and here he is trying to explain to the other love of his life what is going on. Cam is so close to a break down but he must hold it together for Nate if not himself. When Cam’s need to manage everything get to the point of severe OCD something is going to break, but will it be Cam?
Theo is heartbroken, yet it is so unbelievable he loves his husband, but he can’t do anything right anymore. It’s getting so hard to just function, at least he still has Nate. If he loses his lover to he doesn’t know what he will do. Theo’s decisions are impaired, and could lead to real trouble. With Cam spiraling can Theo keep things together?
Nate loves them both, when he finds out what is going on at home, he is sick with emotional pain and worry. No matter what he tries it doesn’t help. He is literally making himself sick, with stress and worry. He makes a decision for his health, however it seems to affect everyone.
There are so many things happening in this story it’s hard to say exactly what makes this such a great read. I had tears reading this story, because of all the emotional upheaval and pain that comes through. All the main characters are well written and believable. Not a book if you want a light bit of reading, yet a great book!
