Fireman Mason James thought finding out he is a Romanus—a rare class of gargoyle—would be the surprise of a lifetime, but he’s proven wrong when he discovers he is the son of a comte and goji nobility. But his newly discovered family doesn’t think his gargoyle lover, Luc, is good enough for a goji of Mason’s stature—how could a warrior ever be? But despite the Moreaus’ uncertainty and elitism, they are Mason’s only chance to unravel the mystery behind his mother’s death, find a solution for the class divide that might separate him from Luc, and discover what it truly means to be a Romanus.addtogoodreads_zps55cd15da16Listening to Andrea LeeTAG

I did book one on audio, and read this one.

I would recommending doing book one first, this one follows the same couple, same story.

Mace and Luc have been together for awhile now and even though they are devoted to each other, Mace is still not ready to take that leap. Until something happens to make him realize just how silly he has been.

As Mace is ‘healing’ at home Luc heading over to nurse him people show up to turn there lives upside down, again.

So with this ‘installment’ I call it that because just like the last one, we are clearly left with a more to happen, after the break ending. Its not a bad thing so much, we are left with a HFN, it’s just now we wait.

Luc and Mace head to Mace biological family’s home to find out more about him, his family and what it means to be HIM.

The bond between these two just grows and that’s great. The story gets deeper and we do learn a lot of history on how this all came to be. We added a good secondary cast. Can’t wait to see how it plays out.
