Amie has more issues than an average person. She is a dominant, and completely in to women. Which for most in the life would not be a problem, but Amie comes from a very religious family. When they found out about her liking girls she was disowned and left to survive on her own. Amie doesn’t do relationships, she does scenes. But when her first love comes back home things change, Amie is not a fan of change. As she finds Dru deeper and deeper in her heart, she is emotionally terrified and unsure what to do about it. Amie does what feels right she works through her feelings in scenes and then talks afterwards. She decides to fight for Dru, even if that means she is fighting herself.
Dru is drowning in stress, she is still missing Padma, trying to get their dream club up and running. Get the other members of the BDSM community to join the new club. She invites an Amie to her club, for help and to reconnect with her old lover. Dru is caught between her feelings for who is gone, and the renewed feelings that have rekindled for Amie. When she gets overwhelmed with stress, it’s Amie she goes to. As their friendship goes strong, so do the emotions between them. Dru questions herself, is she ready for another relationship? Can she walk away again from Amie?
This book actually deals with a lot of emotional issues. It’s a book that evolves BDSM kink and F/F relations. I liked this book a lot. It went in for more than just the club and scene dynamic. I got to know the characters and a little of how they got to the point I their life where this story starts. Overall a good read with a lot of kink and hot scenes.
