Special Agent Jason West is seconded from the FBI Art Crime Team to temporarily partner with disgraced, legendary “manhunter” Sam Kennedy when it appears that Kennedy’s most famous case, the capture and conviction of a serial killer known as The Huntsman, may actually have been a disastrous failure.
Jason West is pulled off his vacation to babysit, and basically report all the dirt on Special Agent Kennedy. West is one of the youngest Special Agents and he has earned his place as one of the up and coming. He resents being sent as a spy for the SAC of the FBI.
Sam Kennedy is the profiler BAU, but because he is not good with people he now has to have someone watching over his shoulder. He’s old school does everything his way, not a team player.
Once they are on the case, they must decide if it’s a copycat, or if they caught the wrong killer 10 years ago. Kennedy finds out that West lived there during the tie during the killings 10 yrs ago. West has to deal with his memories of a murdered friend, while going over the old case files to try to find a link to the new murder.
Kennedy finds that though West works with the ACT team he is very intelligent, and they work well together. They also begin a personal kinda friends with benefits relationship that may turn into more? A great book. Can’t wait for the next one. Once I started it I couldn’t put it down!
