The Millionaire Upstairs

He might be hard to work for, but he’s impossible to resist.

Sasha Sobieski has the perfect job working at legendary American fashion house Harrison Kingsley—or at least he used to. He just never thought he’d have to work for Harrison Kingsley himself. Harrison is exacting, difficult, cold, and hands-down the sexiest man Sasha has ever seen.

After years at the top, Harrison Kingsley knows what he wants, when he wants it, and exactly how he’d like it to be delivered to him. What he wants most right now? His new assistant. Sasha is mouthy, opinionated, and he drives Harrison mad. Problem is, Harrison can never tell if it’s with anger… or desire.addtogoodreads_zps55cd15da16Listening to Andrea LeeTAG

So many mixed feeling about this book, and not all good.

Sasha from middle America winds up in NYC lands the perfect job and runs into the most beautiful/horrid man the first day. Luckily he only has to deal with him infrequently.

Couple of years later he finds himself becoming that mans assistant for the summer while his boss is off having a baby.

The rest of this story is the summer that Sasha and Harrison spend in the Hamptons, in Italy, back in NYC. All leading us (me) with teasing touches, sly looks, small innuendos that has both of them simmering on a low boil, until finally they say enough. The problem with that was we got the 100 page build up of about 10 lines of naughty. Now don’t get me wrong, I enjoy all types of books, but that really was bad. And just killed the whole story for me. Would have been better off with straight fade.

I really did enjoy these two together, working as a team  designing, talking, playing. But boy can they both throw a bratty tantrum that a two year old would be proud of.

The HFN ending was sweet at the end but not enough
