There’s no way he’ll shake this off…

Trevor Daniels is feeling aimless. A recent college grad, he’s not sure what to do with his useless degree, and his family all but abandoned him after he revealed the truth about himself. But a friend’s suggestion that he take his chances on a reality show aimed at finding the next big boy band strikes a chord with him—until the show’s producers convince him to act like he’s in a relationship with a guy who’s not at all his type. It isn’t exactly love at first sight for Jalen Smith either—but lust just might push them in an unexpected direction. If only their secrets weren’t even more twisted than their sheets, threatening to cost them the win—and each other…addtogoodreads_zps55cd15da16Kim Talks TomesTAG

Having absolutely loved the first book in Annabeth Albert’s Perfect Harmony Series, I was really looking forward to this book. I have to say that I was not disappointed at all! Love Me Tenor focuses on Trevor who is asked to be on a new musical reality show by Dawn, a former production assistant from Perfect Harmony. The premise of this show is to show three different groups competing against each other for a record contract. Trevor is shocked to find out that he is going to be part of the token “gay lovers” group and has to pretend to be a couple with Jayce. Jayce is tall, dark, and incredibly sexy….and he also happens to be Dawn’s brother. YIKES!  The boys pretend to be a couple for the cameras, but as predicted, they eventually fall for each other in real life as circumstances take them from one thing to another.

At first, I had a hard time feeling sorry for Trevor. Yes, he has been dealt crappy situations one after another, but his hatred for himself and others was a turn off. But, as more was revealed about his past, I couldn’t help but want him to find some happiness in life. Jayce, on the other hand, has such a caring nature about him. Something he hides by acting tough and standoffish. He comes across as the brooding, sexy, smart, and caring man everyone wants to have and I loved how much heart he put into taking care of Trevor once he found out about his diabetes. As for their love scenes, HOLY HOTNESS!! For not having actual penetration, they were hot, hot, and HOT!!! Even though they started out as scratching an itch, it was immediately clear how attracted these two guys were to each other and how much love they shared, even if neither wanted to admit it. SWOON!!

I’m so glad that these two got their happy ending (no pun intended) after all they fought to get there. This book, along with the series, is the kind of story that leaves the reader feeling happy after it is over and I can’t wait for the next book in this installment because I did not want to put this one down.
