How far will she go to get the life she’s always wanted?
Dana’s always had a clear vision of how her life would go and how she’d get there, but when her father dies during her final year of college, her whole world threatens to topple down. In desperate need of money, she takes a drastic step. She decides to auction off her virginity.
Mason is used to getting what he wants. The head of his own corporate empire, he has wealth, means, and no shortage of beautiful women ready to fulfill his every need. But despite having it all, Mason is bored. Until he comes face-to-face with a woman from his past. Unable to let Dana slip away again, Mason bids on the one thing he’s always wanted, even if it is completely forbidden. He’s fantasied about having her to himself for years, touching her smooth skin, tasting her sweet lips, but Dana is off-limits, or is she? What started out as a way for each of them to get what they’ve always wanted is about to turn into so much more…
Dana is unexpectedly cut off by her mother and has to find a way to pay for college. Her friend, Elli, suggests that she sign up for a site to auction off her virginity to the highest bidder. Someone pays for her contract and when she shows up to meet the businessman, it is none other than her former stepbrother, Mason. Dana has always been in love with Mason ever since her mom married his dad when Dana was 16. Mason offers Dana the money in exchange for nothing in return, but Dana thinks it over and wants him to follow through with her contract. He, reluctantly, agrees hoping to change her mind. But, he can’t resist the sexy woman she has grown into.
Their parents are no longer married, but when they were Mason’s dad would leer at Dana. I found this to be extremely creepy, but it explained Mason’s protective nature towards Dana so well. Dana’s mom was an absentee mother – she cared more about money and social standing than caring for her daughter. This created a need to be wanted and loved in Dana. She doesn’t want to be rejected by Mason, so she fights for him and his attention, even if it means she has to agree to be his sub to stay with him.
The BDSM was thrown into the mix a little too quickly, in my opinion. Dana agreed to do anything, and there were some things done that had my shaking my head. Also, the kidnapping scene left me with whiplash because it happened to quickly. I’m glad nothing happened, but wow!
Ms. Carew’s writing is, as always, amazing and she can write a steamy sex scene. As for the actual story, while it wasn’t bad, it wasn’t one that I fully enjoyed.
