At only twenty-one years of age, Daniel Hastings is a young man headed for the top of his game. As Assistant Chief Acquisitions Assessor for a major property development firm, it’s Daniel’s job to assess the viability and investment potential of land opportunities, usually bringing in millions of dollars in profits for his firm. The key to his career is to convince the previous owners of the land to part with their precious properties, and Daniel has found that everything is for sale… at the right price.

That is until he arrives on Saint Etienne, a tiny Caribbean island that a major resort chain intends to develop into a billionaire’s playground. It’s up to Daniel to assess the situation and convince the villagers to sign over their island home… and if they refuse, Daniel and his colleague are under strict instructions to find any legal loophole they can to snatch the untouched piece of paradise out from under its owners.

But there’s one inhabitant on this island Daniel wasn’t expecting to find—his estranged father, Nick… a man who walked out of his son’s life just when the two of them where beginning to understand one another.

Will Daniel give his father a second chance? Will he discover there’s more to life than profits and acquisitions? Or will his career take priority over the life Daniel was destined to live? addtogoodreads_zps55cd15da16 April's Showering Words

This book has father son incest in it.

Daniel has seen what love can do at it’s most destructive.  He wants nothing to do with it.  Yet once he comes face to face with Nick his dad, who walked out of his life 5 years ago, not a word since.  Daniel is angry and strangely enough he feels the stirrings of lust.  That is enough to make him storm off.  The confusion that follows is hard for him to understand.  How can he want is dad? What is wrong with him? Daniel starts having nightmares,  he is loosing the ability to concentrate.   He is finally opened up to his memories, and things are not quite as he thought the were.

Nick lost everything that day 5 years ago.  He loved his wife, just not the way he should have.  The love for his son was changing, he knew he could help Daniel work through the confusion of figuring out if he was gay or not.  He believed Daniel had a crush that would pass and they would be fine.  He never got the chance to find out if he was right.  When Daniel showed up on the island that he lived Nick was so excited,  here is the chance to make it up to his son.  There was so much emotion between them to work through.  Nick is heartbroken seeing the anger and confusion in Daniel’s eyes.  But he will have his son back any way that is possible.

Little did either of them know that the spark that Nick sensed back when Daniel was 16 had grown into full blown love.  Not the love a son has for a father but the love between lovers.  Nick tries to deny them but he also feels the same way.  As there love blossoms the reason Daniel is there in the first place threatens to tear them apart.   Will they be smart enough, there love strong enough to overcome the new threat?

This is a good story, there are alot of outside influences that make it an interesting read.  It is written in such a way that it flows smoothly.  I enjoyed reading it and hope you do to.
