Paranormal Dating Agency Book 1
Talia Barca needs a date. Badly. She uses the services of the Paranormal Dating Agency hoping for a decent guy to take to a family wedding. A wedding her ex-husband has wormed his way into as a guest.
Connor and Theron want Tally to complete their Alpha triad. She’s sexy, curvy and funny. But she’s human. And they’re not sure she’ll go for a relationship with two men at the same time.
As if deciding to give two men a shot wasn’t difficult enough, Tally will also need to deal with a threat from the pack. She’ll either prove she’s strong enough to be an Alpha mate or find herself at the mercy of a vicious opponent.
Reader Warning: This book contains lots of scorching sex (including a threesome so hot it will make your ereader sizzle), adult language (hanky panky with no dirty talk is no fun), and violence. If this is not the kind of stuff you like to read, skip this book. However, if you like dirty, raunchy sex with some sarcasm and two hot men on one curvy girl, then this is right up your alley. Enjoy!
Although I actually picked this novella up as a freebie over a year ago, this is the first time I’ve read it. Now that I have, I’m wondering what I was thinking that had me putting it off repeatedly. Why? Because Taiden writes some seriously hot shifter sex. That Tally is a curvy human woman is a plus. As is the fact that the guys are sex on a stick hot. Guys? Plural? Oh yeah! That’s the other thing that made Twice the Growl such a stimulating read – it’s a MFM ménage and it is hot.
Not willing to go to a family member’s wedding by herself, especially knowing that her ex-husband will be there with his latest fling, Tally solicits her matchmaking neighbor’s help. The matchmaking neighbor whose nephew and best friend have asked her to help them find the third member of their Alpha triad so that they will be complete. The timing couldn’t be better in Gerri’s opinion because she’s (silently) considered Tally to be the perfect match for her nephew and his Omega. After a socially satisfying and face-saving appearance at the wedding shower, Connor and Theron set out to show Tally what she could expect from the two of them – hoping to convince her that becoming their mate would be a good thing. And they show her again, and again, and again throughout the night – and they continue to do so over the course of the book. But it takes Tally’s cousin to get her to see what she’d be giving up if she chose not to listen to her heart because Nita could see what Tally was afraid to admit to herself – that she loved both men. Becoming their mate is only half the battle because Tally also has to be accepted by Connor and Theron’s pack and there’s already a ticked off shifter who had her designs on the being the female member of their triad.
Despite its short length as a novella, Taiden packs a lot of story within. Truth be told, I didn’t realize just how short of an amount of time passed between the first date and Tally agreeing to mate with Connor and Theron until it was pointed out in the book. As it stands, that this is a novella and a shifter romance, I really don’t get hung up on such a short passage of time because of the mating instinct. But if you are a stickler for insta-love romances, then you’ll probably want to give this a pass. However, if you enjoy an instinct driven mating in which there are TWO guys who are both focused on their woman, then I’d give Twice the Growl a try. I’m hoping to be able to sneak the next book in the series into my schedule soon as I can get it via the Kindle Lending Library. Until then, this was a great start to the Paranormal Dating Agency series.
