A fantastical romance involving a girl, the music that fuels her, and her Ouija board.
Rosalyn possesses a sunny personality that is laced with quirks. Although she seeks acceptance in a world where she lives out of time, what she gets is ridiculed for her eclectic wardrobe and unconventional music collection.
One fateful night, Rosalyn bewitches Niles, a stylish man whose offbeat character perfectly complements her own. Unfortunately, he possesses a critical flaw that means relationship suicide for him and pretty much anyone.
While under the influence of insomnia-impaired judgment, Rosalyn summons Rock ‘n Roll deity Peter Lane back from the dead. Not only does he spin her hormones into a frenzy, Peter is also the precarious puzzle piece that brings sense into her world. When Niles learns that he can overcome his life-long challenge by helping Peter avenge his death, how far will he go to secure Rosalyn’s heart?
Scary Monsters and Creepy Freaks is such a different kind of story (in a good way). Roselyn is a quirky, 60’s obsessed, music loving, and free living woman living in modern times. One day, she buys a signed record at a record store and things begin to change for her. She meets Niles and they find that they have similar taste in music and 60’s trivia. He is smitten, but there are a lot of twists and turns within the story that makes this anything but your typical romance story.
Peter was a rocker in the 60’s. After pushing and fighting to get a record deal, he and his band sign the dotted line not knowing that he was signing his life away…literally. How does he figure into this story as a dead rocker? That’s part of the twist within this story.
The author created an imaginative, quirky, and fun story unlike any other romance. The characters are realistic and fun. The writing is so well done that I couldn’t help researching to see what else the author wrote. There is so much emotion within the story, which tugs at the reader AND pulls the reader into the story.
This is a very difficult book to summarize without giving away the goodies. So, you’ll just have to go read it yourself. I promise, you won’t be disappointed!
