If you were a marked woman, how far would you run?
At only 23 years old, Ellora’s life is turned upside down. She captures the unwanted attention of a dangerously ruthless man, who’ll stop at nothing until he possesses her. Haunted by nightmares of the brutal attack she survived, Ellora flees the country desperate to hide. But, the longer she runs the deeper his obsession grows.
Behr is a hard working bachelor who’s life is stuck on repeat. Every single day is filled with the same people, and the same routine. That is, until a beautiful stranger stumbles into the local pub and into his heart. Even though he’s immediately drawn to her raven black hair and deep green eyes… he knows she’s hiding a secret. One he’s determined to uncover.
Forever Marked is full of suspense, intrigue, and surprise elements throughout the story. Ellora grew up in a happy home with a mother and father that loved her very much. But, her father’s partner was not a good man and he forced himself on her, causing her to run off to her parents’ homeland of Scotland. There she meets a cast of characters who knew her parents from back in the day and they take her in as one of their own. She works hard to help them out, while falling for the gruff and alpha Behr. Behr wants to save Ellora from her demons so that he can show her what love is.
I thought Behr was sweet and loved how patient and caring he was with Ellora. The two of them together form a couple that I couldn’t help but want together. The writing and suspense build up was well done, as was the details of the town in Scotland where Ellora’s parents grew up and lived. While some of the plot was predictable, I still enjoyed the story and how it played out.
