Tuscan Seduction by Samantha Cote

Tuscan Seduction

It never occurs to high school teacher Isabella Barone that her secretive neighbor is a runaway Italian grandma with a smoking-hot grandson in pursuit. When Italian businessman Marco Di Stefani shows up in New York to reclaim his beloved nonna, he immediately sets out to seduce the luscious schoolmarm who took care of her in his absence.

After surviving a nasty breakup, Isabella’s a little gun-shy about men. Marco’s the ultimate alpha, though—he’s staked his claim on Isabella and wants her in his bed. Now. But after a rapturous night in his arms, Isabella’s sure she’s nothing more than a one-night stand to this powerful, wealthy man.

When Marco invites Isabella on an all-expense-paid summer vacation to Italy as an honored guest at his Tuscan villa, she’s flattered but a bit wary. Is he only looking for a repeat of their night of passion? Or is he taking his chances on a fiercely independent, high-spirited woman who brings out his hot-blooded, possessive nature?

Tuscan Seduction is a really sweet Italian romance with some very hot love scenes. Isabella is a school teacher in New York. She has become very close friends with her older neighbor lady, Mrs. Di, and spends every Friday night having dinner and watching movies with her. Mrs. Di, Elizabetta, has a secret, though. She is a rich Italian grandmother who came to New York to escape her overbearing family and paint in peace. Elizabetta’s handsome grandson finds her, having already met Bella at the neighborhood grocery store a little earlier. Marco is happy to find his Nonna and convinces her to come back to Italy. Before going back, he and Bella go on a date and end up spending the night at his city condo where things get very steamy between the couple. Bella sneaks out the next morning which hurts Marco. But, she is leery about rich and powerful men after her last relationship. But, she feels at ease with Marco and even accepts his and his Nonna’s invitation to spend the summer at the villa in Italy.

Once in the old country, Bella feels very at home with Elizabetta and Marco’s big family. But, Marco is having second thoughts about how long this tryst will last with the sweet Bella. He thinks she isn’t good marriage material because of her strong independent nature, but he doesn’t want to not be involved with her, either. Bella is comfortable with Marco and his family, but her biggest fear is that she is not good enough for Marco’s rich lifestyle and family – something her last boyfriend instilled in her.

I really enjoyed the relationship between Bella and Marco. More than that, I loved the closeness between Marco’s grandmother and Bella. It showed Isabella’s sweet nature and genuine caring for others – sometimes more than she cares for herself. Marco is a true alpha Italian male and Bella is a New Yorker through and through. She has a submissive side that wants to please people, yet she is also tough as nails and doesn’t put up with crap. I love a tough heroine in any story! The details about Tuscany and the surrounding area made it easy for me to envision how lush and beautiful the area must be. It was as if I was touring the countryside with the characters. The writing was well done and the story kept me interested and wanting to read more. I really look forward to seeing more from this author because this was a really great book!
