Book 1 Diagnosis by Poppy Dennison

This story was so perfect. Andrew, a nurse looking for work has landed a job that everyone else has been fired from, but because of his dead beat brother has to take it. Caleb is the patient, and one look at him Andrew knows two things, Caleb is really sick and Andrew is in big trouble. Andrew helps discover what has happened to Caleb and in that process has learned a big secret but doesn’t care because he has started falling in love with Caleb. The connection between these two is so great. Caleb so understanding almost shy wanting to make sure Andrew is ok, protected, and loved. Andrew also surprises him by being so strong. I enjoyed how Caleb wanted to protect Andrew but refused to bit him until Andrew was sure. And then we get our HEA.

Landslide by Mary Calmes

Frank is a human that lives in a world where everyone knows about all living creatures and one night he runs into Cael, a demon, the ones that don’t exist. The attraction for both is instant, but Frank is scared and it takes three years of them working together for him to figure out Cael is his mate. The way Cael is patient with Frank until the very end when Frank saves the day gets everything sorted out, then all bets are off and Cael finally makes Frank his. What I did find a little annoying was how Frank kept using his size as a tool for rejection, and self doubt.

Narrator – The same person narrated both of these books and did a fine job with the different voices and over all reading. My problem was it sounded like he was in a well, lot of echoing back ground noise. I listened to this on a couple of different machines and they all sounded the same, so I’m guessing it was the studio/sound room? Once you got into the story you forgot it was there, but every time you started it again, it would take a little bit for it to fade out.
