Men ruin women.
Especially men like Chase Davis. Good looking, intelligent, rich and powerful. I never stood a chance.
I didn’t want to want him.
I didn’t want to need him.
I didn’t want to fall for him.
He wouldn’t take no for an answer, and I let him consume me. Arrogant, confident, controlling, demanding … intense.
When he entered my life, I was finally healing after having barely survived the men of my past. My soul sisters told me to take a chance. To let someone in. I let him in, and he surrounded me with a light so bright I was blinded by the truth…
Men don’t ruin women. They devour them in every way that counts.
Warning: This book is designed for audiences 18+ due to language, graphic sexual content, and themes that some may find disturbing. BODY is book 1 of a three-part trilogy. Book 1 has a “Happy for Now” type ending.
This book was different than a lot of other erotic romance books out there. I mean, it’s got it fair share of sexy time, and it’s fair share of romance, but it also has some elements I wasn’t expecting. It’s a mystery and it also includes some pretty sensitive topics that aren’t normal to this genre.
This book is about Gigi and Chase. Gigi has her fair share of flaws, but happens to combine them effortlessly with her strengths – she’s kind of stylishly flawed. She is trying to work things out in her life when Chase comes crashing into it. Once Chase meets Gigi he’s hooked and he wants to be everything Gigi needs and wants. The real question is, will she let him?
The part I enjoyed best about this book is Chase. He’s your run-of-the-mill bazillionaire and once he sets his sights on Gigi he comes barreling into her life, bringing all the drama with him. All of it. While I liked the escapades the two embarked on, I also felt like it reached a point in the book where all the action started to get a bit ridiculous. I mean how much can two people go through? Well, you definitely find out. For all of his trouble, Chase sure is fun!
Fair warning, this is a cliffhanger ending. I wouldn’t let that dissuade you, though. I had fun reading this book and getting to know these characters and I think you will too. 4 stars.
