Senior Financial Analyst, Taylor Williams survived the embezzling scare at his firm, Peterton Financial, with the help of the gorgeous new Regional Manager, Phillip Daniels. Although Phillip suspected Taylor at first, their undeniable chemistry soon cut through those unfounded suspicions.
Now the two of them have embarked on a passionate sexual relationship during the holiday break. Holidays should be relaxing and stress free, but when you throw in ex-boyfriends, snow storms and bears, things get a little messy and you might need to be a hard-ass just to get through them.
This quick novella is fast moving and covers a lot of emotional ground. Taylor has been out of a very unstable relationship for months, one that ended up with him being arrested. Now he’s fresh in a new one with his boss and although they are only a few days into it the connection and chemistry in and out of the bedroom is night and day. And that’s one of things that frightens him.
Phillip, being older, doesn’t want to jump too fast but already can tell this is it for him, but knows Taylor isn’t being forth coming about his past and this a huge problem. He hopes that a weekend trip a cabin will get them to the next level.
Wow, once Taylor starts reveling his past and what happened to him you can understand why he’s emotionally cut off. But the author does a good job making Phillip a strong enough MC to help him. We also get enough comic relief of a sort with the bear that it balances out the high drama from the other issues going on. The one thing I didn’t care for was the end, felt like it was left opened ended. Not sure if we are getting a part 2 or not.
