When twenty-four-year-old Cassie Stevens meets Eric Waters, her town’s hunky new fire captain, she assumes he is way out of her league. Cassie isn’t a beauty queen like her mother, and a mature, no-nonsense man like Eric would never be attracted to a fun-loving tomboy like her, especially considering her penchant for getting herself in trouble. So it comes as a shock when he stops by the diner where she works, steers her out of an altercation with some rude customers, and promptly asks her out on a date.
It doesn’t take Cassie long to realize that she has finally met the man of her dreams, and Eric seems to enjoy her sense of humor and playful ways. But after she pulls a foolish prank on him during their first date, he takes her over his knee for a spanking, and she quickly discovers how much a man’s firm hand can sting when applied to a naughty girl’s bare bottom.
Eric’s attention and affection make Cassie feel more loved than she has ever felt before, and despite her sore bottom, his discipline leaves her aroused and yearning to be his. But just as she’s about to give him her heart, it seems he’s no longer interested. Can Cassie put aside her fears and trust Eric, or will her doubts set off a chain of events which will tear their relationship apart?
Publisher’s Note: Cassie and the Fire Captain is an erotic romance novel that includes spankings, sexual scenes, and more. If such material offends you, please don’t buy this book.
This was a heartwarming, fun, story that was a quick read on a relaxing weekend. Cassie is a prankster and very spunky. Eric is the new Fire Captain and a strong alpha. When these two get together, it’s a combustible combination sure to set the room on fire!
I felt like Cassie was a little immature with all of the pranks and jokes she pulled. Was she a grown woman or a teenager? Unfortunately, for that reason the spankings seemed a bit awkward at times instead of lovers having some fun. But, eventually I got over that and began to enjoy the story more. She used her sarcasm and goofy humor as a way of making an uncomfortable situation into something humorous. My only complaint is that I wish more of Cassie’s backstory was told.
I really like Eric and his strong, alpha personality. He balanced Cassie well and made her more likeable. He’s strong, disciplined, but he can be caring and sweet. Pair all of that with a hunky fireman and YUM!!
If you enjoy spankings and quick reads, I think you’ll really enjoy this book.
He laughed a low, deep laugh, “Honey, that was barely a warm-up. The real spanking comes when I pull down your panties and spank your bare bottom until you can’t sit without thinking about that prank. Better get this over with before it gets dark,” he said, pulling down her shorts and rubbing the back of her panties.
“Okay,” she said miserably and tried to relax over his lap.
The first crack of his palm surprised her. It was loud, and echoed through the trees, but it didn’t hurt. He smacked her panties a few more times, and she felt the heat slowly build. Okay, she could handle this. This wasn’t so—“Ouch!”
A firm hard swat clipped the underside of her bottom, where her thighs met, and she cringed as he smacked the other side. “Ow!” She tried to hold still as he thoroughly heated her whole backside.
After another minute or so, he finally stopped, and she sagged against his leg. Thank God. She started to rise up from his leg, but he pressed her back down firmly.
He peeled her panties off her warm backside. The cool air drifted onto the warm spots, and she felt a sudden vulnerability in this position that she had not felt before.
“Now, before we begin your real spanking, please tell me why you’re over my knee, bare-bottomed in the middle of the forest?”
She whimpered in outrage. Surely he wouldn’t expect her to apologize again.
His large hand connected with her already sore bottom, and she howled. Oh, my gosh, oh, my gosh! She groaned as he smacked her bottom again.
“Okay, okay, I’m sorry. I was rude and unthoughtful, and I could have hurt you. That was a dumb prank to pull,” she shouted quickly.
“Good girl.” He stroked her bottom, and she relaxed.
Please tell me it’s over.
His hand left the warm spot on her bare skin, and she knew in a flash it was nowhere near over. His hand crashed down on her bottom again and again, and no matter how she howled or kicked, he just rained more hard swats down onto her poor backside. She was going to die. She knew it! Her bottom was in excruciating pain, and she would most likely die from all the bruises. No, her bottom was just going to fall off!
She groaned and swept her hand behind her in a futile attempt to save her poor savaged derrière. But he just took her wrist into his hand, placed it at the small of her back, and continued spanking. She looked down at the ground and watched a small bug scurry across the trail. All noise had ceased in the forest. It was as if they were all watching her get her comeuppance. Bunch of voyeuristic animals, she silently cursed at the frog that seemed to smirk at her. Better you than me, it seemed to say, and she lost it.
This was all her fault. She had needled a man, trying to show off her pride. But more so, she had practically begged him for this. She knew he was strong and determined. And she had wanted to see how far she could push him. “Nnnnng!” she groaned and sagged over his lap. It hurt like hell, but she knew in her heart, she deserved this.
When she finally caught her wits, she realized the spanking had stopped. Eric was gently rubbing the soreness away, creating a heat in another spot of her body.
“Is it over?” Her voice sounded so timid and weak.
“Yes, Cassie.” He lifted her up to sit on his lap and kissed her forehead. “You were a very good girl. You took your punishment well.”
