When the bright lights and flashing cameras of Hollywood capture your every move, how can you fulfill your deepest desires? For Zack Greene, a formerly out-of-control actor, and Steve Michaels, the director who unearthed the heart of the man beneath the ego, it’s a constant struggle.
In public, Steve and Zack are the picture of professional partners. However, behind closed doors, their partnership is taken to a new level. They engage in a carefully constructed Dom/sub relationship that not only brings them pleasure, but keeps Zack from slipping back into his wild ways.
Their delicate balance is thrown askew when a producer on the show threatens to expose their lifestyle, while taking advantage of Zack in a moment of vulnerability. Will Steve be able to ease the pain and save the love they share? Or will they come apart when they need each other most?
First, I have to say I felt I was missing some important information or a piece of history between these two that stayed with me throughout reading from beginning to end? Second, because I felt that way, the whole story felt so choppy to me I simply couldn’t enjoy it. But because this is book one; I’m not sure that I am? Steve and Zack are in a BDSM relationship, live together, work together and no one knows, really? Also both men are closeted. Zack being a TV star and worried that coming out would ruin is star/celebrity power, standing. However, he did tell he’s parents and was kicked out only for them to magically show up on Steve’s door step right before the shit hits the fan. The whole thing just did not work for me. However, if you can break Steve and Zack out of the storyline, they are good together; Steve seems to be exactly what he needs. Dominant, firm but loving and understanding towards Zack upbringing and what made him the way he is.
