Justice Prevails (Sin City Uniforms #3) by Morticia Knight

Justice Prevails Never judge a sexy man by his cover.

Detective Beau Williams is hardworking, dedicated and professional. He enjoys the finer things in life, but with his heavy caseload that includes what Beau suspects is a new serial killer, he has no time to enjoy much of anything. What the tall redhead needs is someone to shake him up a little.

Investigative Technician Austin Kent never met a snarky joke he didn’t like—or a set of stairs that couldn’t trip him up. One night after a devastating episode at work, Austin sees something else he likes—the handsome detective he’s seen around the station whom he’s always wondered about. But after he makes a drunken fool of himself in front of Detective Williams, he’s sure there’s no hope.

Beau and Austin’s worlds collide when Austin is sent to pick up some evidence at the station. Amidst a myriad of twists and turns in the troubling serial killer-style murders of Vegas conventioneers, Austin and Beau discover that there’s more to the other than they’d originally thought. There might even be more they’d like to give—unless the killer has the final say.

Having been a fan of Ms. Knight for quite some time, of course I couldn’t wait to start reading this book from her. Her Sin City Uniforms has quickly become one of my favorite series, and I can’t get enough of it.

One of my worries is that with how many books Ms. Knight puts out, that they will start to seem, a bit repetitive. Thankfully that isn’t the case at all. Especially with this book. The characters are both likeable, and easy to relate too.

Austin, I just couldn’t get enough of him personally. I loved how ditzy yet innocent he is. His personality just drew me in completely, and then being able to follow along and realize how sweet of a guy he is. That was amazing. Beau, I will say he does start to grow on you. At first, I didn’t like how snotty he was, but as the story progressed, it became clear why he was that way.

There were enough twists and turns that made me sit on the edge of my seat wondering what was going to happen next. And enough smutty scenes to keep me interested as well.

Overall, this is another great book by Ms. Knight and I can’t wait to read more from her in the future!
