Ms. Mathewson is an auto-buy for me no matter what, but I will be honest that I did hesitate a little bit when I read the blurb for this book because we were introduced to Marybeth and Darrin in the previous book, and I wasn’t really sure if I would enjoy this book.
Thankfully though, I ended up loving the story! Granted, it’s not like the “traditional” romances out there, but to me, this one had a more real feel to it. I’ve known people who have had relationships like theirs that have evolved into something more serious, which is the case with these two.
I did love how Ms. Mathewson added the important background information on the characters though. The highlights of their life together, especially since they have been friends for so long. So it really wasn’t like we were jumping in right away with no idea what was going on.
Overall, even though I have loved every other Neighbor From Hell book, this one is by far my favorite.
