romance novel. Even though this novel contained many elements to initially attract me to it, it took me quite a while to get into this book. I think it was mostly because the main character was so hard to like and relate to at first. Once she stopped denying herself happiness and started reaching for the things in life that she wanted I was able to really sink into the story.
