This is the first book of a serial. As such it is very short and while the characters are out of immediate danger the  story is FAR from over.  I was not expecting this to be a serial and once I realized it was I was prepared to dislike it, however I was pleasantly surprised.  This book strays from all of the overused plotlines and starts anew.
I think making this a ménage relationship with m/m aspects adds a little more intrigue and drama to an already
suspenseful storyline.  I was immediately drawn into the story and was impressed with the characterization done in such few pages.  I was sucked into this story and am looking forward to reading the rest of the series so I can find out how these three individuals rescue their country and their relationships.
