Feline Persuasion by Cheyenne Meadows

When tiger shifter Cade turns an oily owner of a consultation firm over to the FBI, he finds himself with a hit man on his heels. Chester was in possession of security-breaching national secrets, and even more concerning, evidence that shifters exist, and if it got out, trouble would follow for all shifters. So now Cade is on the run. He holes up in an isolated hideout where he doesn’t expect anyone to find him–least of all a former one-night stand.Alpha lion shifter Micah can’t shake Cade from his mind. They spent one glorious night together before Cade ran off
without leaving even a name. He’s determined to find his runaway and protect what he’s come to think as his despite Cade’s one and done rule. He surprises Cade in his secret nest in the forest, learns the reason for Cade’s self-imposed exile, and decides to call for help. This nets them Stone: a top-of-the-line bodyguard and the one man Micah can’t
stand. Stone isn’t thrilled either. He can think of better things to do than spend days in the wilderness with the uppity alpha who stomps on his last nerve.

Despite their differences and history, they need to find a way to survive and expose the traitor in their midst. They also realize chances at love are fleeting unless you grab the opportunity between your teeth and hold on for one wild ride.

Feline Persuasion is a hot and sexy paranormal romance with a good dose of suspense in it. One of the reasons I enjoy shifter romances is that the mating call allows for the characters to move to the bedroom far sooner than a contemporary romance – well, that and the usual overabundance of testosterone that accompanies an alpha shifter. Ms. Meadows does not disappoint and starts the book off with a one-night stand between Cade and Micah. A hot tiger shifter and a hot ALPHA lion shifter …YUMMY!!! But Cade is a wham-bam-thank-you-man kind of guy and leaves the next morning without looking back.
The suspense part of the book comes into play when Micah recognizes a picture of his mystery lover in the paper along with a story that causes him quite a bit of worry and he sets off to find his Tiger. Once Micah tracks Cade down and learns why Cade is in hiding he calls his connections on the Lion Council and the cavalry arrives. Stone is not only the best at security and protection, he is also the best at pushing Micah’s buttons. The verbal foreplay between the three (even though Cade refuses a repeat performance with Micah) is amusing and stimulating. As they work together to keep Cade out of danger and to protect the shifter race, the bond between the three strengthens. But once Cade’s safety is assured, Micah leaves Cade and Stone in order to see justice served. In his absence, Cade and Stone take things a step farther and Cade is forced to admit that he doesn’t want to let either man go.
While the development of the relationship between the three men definitely appeased the romantic within, the action between these three super hot cat shifters definitely made my kitty purr (oh yeah, I went there). Ms. Meadows has written an entertaining book that does a great job of balancing romance, suspense and some hot m/m and m/m/m action. I look forward to reading more of her work.
