Protect Me, By Jennifer Culbreth

Abbi Hastings had never been fearless. She’d been firmly entangled in her small town roots her entire life until an unexpected inheritance provided her a chance to escape. As she took the only  opportunity she’d have to get out, Abbi left her world behind and boarded the plane with  her one way ticket to Los Angeles.
Relentless and fighting for her own independence, it all goes to hell when fate throws a twist into her plans. Everything changes the day she accidentally falls into the arms of Ryan. Tall, dark eyed, and handsome CEO of LA’s hottest bodyguard service who is fighting some dark demons of his own.  Can Abbi take a leap of faith and dare to experience all that the world has to offer, accepting that fate has brought her here into the arms of the man who will protect her? Protect her mind, body, and soul.

Who doesn’t love bodyguards?  I mean let’s be honest here, a hot built guy who will do anything to keep you safe?  Sign me up!
In this book we meet Abbi who just recently moved to LA for a fresh start.  She lucked out on being able to find a job right away, and was even luckier to meet Ryan, the sexy bodyguard. (I swear I  want some of her luck!)  During thebeginning of the story we get to watch as Ryan fights his feelings when it comes to Abbi, and as Abbi tries to figure out what it is Ryan wants.
Of  course, no bodyguard story would be complete without the drama and the attempts on the heroine’s life.  Don’t worry yourself though, because there is that happening in this book!  Actually that is the one issue that I had with this book was because it seemed like even after Ryan knew what Trent was up to, he didn’t seem too worried about it.
The characters in this book were really well written and I completely enjoyed them all.  They all seemed to complement each other throughout the whole book.  With this being the first book by the author, I am really excited to see what Jennifer  comes up with next!  I have high hopes that there will be more to come in this series! (Which I’m hoping will become a series!)
