Travis, By Nicole Edwards

Alluring Indulgence, #3
Travis Walker, the oldest of the seven Walker brothers, has been referred to as moody and mysterious, and for the most part, he would agree. Until recently, he spent his days helping his brothers run the family business. Now, he dedicates his time and energy to building a resort, Alluring Indulgence, that caters to fetishes and fantasies. And despite his attempt to work himself into the ground, Travis has never denied – at least not to himself – that something is missing.
Ten years ago, Travis made the hardest decision of his life, breaking his own heart in the process. A decade later, he is learning that life has a strange way of turning things upside down before placing the pieces exactly where they were meant to go.

One thing that I really enjoy about Nicole’s stories, is even though they involve some of the same characters throughout the same books, the other characters don’t take over the story that is going on at the time. In the case of this book, with it being Travis’s story, there is a lot of focus on his relationships, but we are also given updates on everyone else in the family.

I have to say that while reading this book, there were some parts that had caught me off guard. I sure didn’t see it coming! And other parts that I could see coming, only because they seemed to make sense with everything that has happened in previous books. To be honest, when I first started reading this series, I was unsure how I would feel about the books as the series progressed. There is only so much that can be done with so many characters, I was worried about reading the same stories over and over.

Thankfully that is not the case with this book. Although it has its parts that seem like you might have read them before, this book has its own sense of originality in it that leaves you wanting for more. The characters were written very well I believe. But then again with Gage and Travis’s characters there has been a lot of ground work that has already been done prior to reading this book. But if you were to take that fact out of the equation, you still learn a lot about them to where you understand their thinking.

Kylie’s character was also well written in my opinion. The only thing that I didn’t like about her character was how she went from being completely upset about what was going on, to being completely on board. It seemed like she would have had some trouble understanding at first.

All in all, I completely loved this story and I can’t wait for more to come from Nicole’s mind!!
