Crystal’s Review:

With the start of this series you meet Sophia and all you know is that she is on a mission to protect Sara.  But you don’t know what for.  And you are unsure of what exactly Sophia is, which I think is a great way to start the series out, it leaves you wanting answers for your questions.
While Sophia is still a mystery during the beginning of this novella, you are introduced to Sara, Travian, and Dante.  And we watch the beginning of their friendship as they get to know each other.  My only complain about this part is that for a while there it seemed like Sara had faded into the background.  There was more focus on Sophia and Dante’s relationship than what the deal was about Sara.  By the end of this part though, we were able to find out what exactly was so special about Sara.
There were twists and turns in this novella that kept you on your toes, but also leads you to want to read more into the series.  Which of course I did.

Book 2: Resurrection Stone
The consequence of unspoken secrets has left half-blood princess, Sophia Daletsky feeling alone and trapped. With Dante having turned his back on her and Kara slinking around with untold intentions Sophia turns to Tavian, Sarah and Rachel as she tries to adjust to her new powers and an unsure future as Protector of Maldera Springs.
Things are never easy in the vampire world, as Sophia realizes as another part of her past catches up with her in
this second installment of the Half-Blood Princess series.

Crystal’s Review:

With the way that Blood Claim ended, you knew there was going to be drama overload in this part of the series.  And you were not let down in the slightest.  With the ex’s coming back that could only lead to one thing.
While there were some parts of this novella that just seemed over the top, it was done in a way that it didn’t seem to confuse you too much.  That was a concern that I had while reading everything that was going on.  That I would get lost in all the drama and forget the main point of the book.  However that wasn’t the case.
The ending of this book, oh I got sooooooo mad at Magen for.  It will leave you mad as heck but also it
keeps you in the series and wanting more.

Crystal’s Review:
This is the part in the series where I started to get very upset with Sophia.  It seemed as though she was making her way through the ranks of her male friends without having a serious concern about how she was treating them.  I’m sorry but it’s the truth.  I was very happy to see Sage back in action because I missed him for those 10 minutes between books.
In this book we get to learn more about Sophia and her history; the different things that she can do and the reasons why she can do them.  And we also learn more about the men that are in Sophia’s life and the reason as to why.  There are a lot of twists that take place in this book that will keep you on your toes.
I was worried with this book though that it wouldn’t be able to “live up to” the way that the series has been going, but so far it’s going great and I am really enjoying reading it!

Crystal’s Review:
As this series progresses, it keeps getting better and better.  The drama and suspense just keeps building onto each story until you are so drawn into it that you can’t think of anything else but finding out what happens next.  Everyone knows that I am not a series person, but with this one, I couldn’t put it down once I had started it.
Everything that has happened in the prior books, good and bad, is taken into account during this book and all the loose ends that are left from the prior books are wrapped up.  The fight scenes are just amazingly done.  Considering there is no way that Magen had seen this happen in real life, she did an amazing job creating this world and letting us all into it.
The characters have all grown throughout the series and you can tell that as they have to face their biggest battle yet.  I have to say that I am completely glad that I read this series and I think that this book out of all of them so far has been the best of them.
